Cloning of any sort I find to be extremely un-scriptural whether it be humans, animals or plants. I believe it to be on of today's many scientific advances that should not be advanced or even practiced. As far as whether or not a human soul can be cloned, I firmly believe the answer is no. This is referring to the human soul being the spirit and not the body of a human.
Science has been able to master cloning by using stem cells via stem cell research. The body would not be hard to copy because it is just a shell of various characteristics. The spirit or soul of human being is far more advanced than the shell in which it is encased. YHWH or God creates the soul or spirit inside every living human being. He is the one that allows miracles of new births to be created though only through Him. He breathes the breath of life into every human being; just like He did to Adam's help-mate Chawa or Eve. Humans are not randomly generated in the sense that YHWH or God did is our Creator. He made us through His own master design. This is one of the reasons why I firmly believe that the human soul cannot be cloned. It is unique in its very form, and by copying the shell in which it is placed will not ensure that the same personality, traits and heart of the soul will remain the same.
YHWH or God is the only one that can create a soul. With today's technology, animals plants and human bodies can be cloned but the spirit or soul (the true essence of a being) cannot. In a recent movie called, 'Avatar', the humans created copies of the Na' Vi people. Through certain machines the humans were able to transfer their spirit or soul into the empty Na' Vi bodies. Granted, it was a fictional piece of someone's imagination. I think it was interesting how in the movie they portrayed the transference of the human soul into an empty body. See, not even they could create a soul to fit into the empty shell. It had to already be living.
In conclusion, human souls cannot be cloned because they cannot be scientifically created or copied. Only YHWH or God has the ability and the power to perform such a feat. He is the only one capable of breathing the breath of life into any empty shell or body.
