Once Upon Myself
Walking alone in the darkest light,
Something distant caught my sight,
Wavering slightly shimmering free,
Made me curious what it could be.
Anxiety plants a very squalid seed,
But curiosity spurs a greater need.
Bigger it becomes as forward I go,
Whatever happens I need to know.
Discomfort begins a faster pacing,
A pounding heart starts to racing,
Stomach churning just so queasy,
Why does this feel a trifle uneasy?
Apprehension colliding with fear,
Going forward bringing me near,
Relief sweeping over I finally see,
Just a reflection ... it's only me!

Poetry: Reflections of you
Looking in your eyes I see
A reflection of what I can be
The chance to hold my head with pride
A beauty that I've hid inside

Once Upon Myself
Walking alone in the darkest light,
Something distant caught
When the rainbow is reflecting the rays of the sun,
Forever accepting the things that I’ve done,
Beautiful as
What is lost, what is gained
As our years now near the end?
Plan for tomorrow, not beyond
No future 'round the bend
Dreams
I catch glimpses of you...
Through windows boarded and shuttered
In your fear and misery
I hear your voice echo
Down
