Every year, millions gather on the decks of pure luxury to enjoy a well-deserved holiday. Many others have similar holiday intentions, but feel compelled to think otherwise due to the build-up of myths and generalisations. It's really quite ridiculous how a lie flickers up over the dinner table and eventuates to a commonly upheld belief. This article will break the bond between you and these well-bred lies. After all, a cruise should be something you enjoy.
*Cruises are medically unsafe. A generalisation that has emerged among the public is that cruises are medically unsafe. First off, you need to attack what is making you so insecure.
Is it sickness? Medication is a powerful thing! Depending on your level of queasiness on-board, doctors can prescribe various treatments.
Okay, well that's covered: but what about that relentless anxiety you get when you think of the boat crashing? Come on, get a grip on yourself! Science has advanced since the Titanic. Your chances are much slimmer of dying on boat compared to flight. Furthermore, lifejackets are provided in staterooms and life boats exceed the passenger count!
Finally, you may feel unsafe if you're an elderly passenger. Trust me, there were more elderly people on the cruise I attended than children, and there's boats out there that suit people of older ages.
*Cruises aren't entertaining enough for a holiday. If you're opposed to this form of a holiday due to the lack of entertainment it provides, you must have been living under a rock in recent years! I was on my toes throughout every minute of my family trip; from always wanting more at the night theatre, to engaging in table tennis on the deck; heck, I was in a state of total relaxation in the spa/pool area! Non-stop entertainment, more food than you can poke a stick at and incredible areas of the ship to enjoy! Yeah, not entertaining enough? Keep this attitude and you'll be the only one missing out on all the fun a cruise offers!
*There are delays on a cruise. Mankind has been overrun with the theory that cruises aren't too promising with their time schedules. Admittedly, we encountered a fake bomb scare throughout our cruise in which a three hour delay was encountered. Despite this, that day was still incredible as we received extra time to explore the city we'd just visited. Anyway, doesn't every holiday contain delays? You can't honestly stare someone in the eyes and say you've endured a flawless holiday.
*Cruises are expensive. This myth couldn't be more false. Currently, cruises are at astoundingly cheap prices! Flight and accomodation prices at all the destinations you visit in a cruise often cost more than the cruise itself!
Hopefully this has shattered the lies and structured some truth behind this form of getaway. One can only lie about what they haven't endured.
