The single life-some love it and some of hate it. Those who prefer being single revel in their freedom and plethora of options. Conversely, those who are eager to enjoy life with a special someone may be discontent with their social lives. In today's society, people are randomly dispersed due to the job market, education, family, personal conveniences, etc. As time passes, people fall in love, get married, have children, ultimately welcoming the shift in their lives. However, singles ruefully bear witness to these events instead of experiencing them themselves. Resultantly, relationships and love become overly critical in the single person's life, as he or she makes a romantic companionship a higher priority than personal desires.
It is no surprise that Friday nights, and especially Saturday "date" nights, are dreaded by many singles. Often singles take their friends for granted, believing that a night with them is subordinate to dinner and movie with an intelligent, attractive and humorous dating prospect. However, what they do not realize is that they have created a void within themselves that, contrary to popular belief, cannot be resolved in a romance. Actually, contentment with being single places one in the best position for a romance. Having time to discover an authentic personal identity allows people offer the truest versions of themselves to others.
Accordingly, nights, even if they are alone, do not have to be boring. People create their own happiness to a large extent. Depending upon a persons interest, he or she can conjure ideas for a highly fulfilling evening. For example, a scholarly individual might opt to read books of his or her field, or explore books of another genre. Also, this type of person could spend time writing, playing Sudoku, watching Jeopardy, and visit the local bookstore. An artsy individual could tackle a new project or craft. An athletic individual could invent a new fitness regime, or play sports on wii. Another great option is cooking an extraordinary meal and beginning a new recipe collection. Moreover, online shopping and computer games are highly entertaining.
Overall, the single life has its own rewards. There are a variety of options to make one's evening fulfilling. Additionally, spending time alone is optimal preparation for engaging in relationships as the first person worth loving is oneself.
