When it comes to online article writing it is important to first establish the reasons why online article writing is an attractive prospect.

It may be simply for the love of writing or it may be that one has a specific subject that one is interested in or is passionate to share; of course writing to boost or even replace your income is another reason to go into online article writing.

Once the reason to write has been established you then can set out goals and priorities. One of the first things to look at is the idea of quantity or quality. You may think that quantity is the most important; obviously the more articles you have the better your potential income would be. However, a poorly written article full of mistakes and clearly not thought about will probably not perform well in the long run. However, one good article alone will not bring in the cash!

It is important then to put in the time and the effort. This may sound obvious yet many who decide to write online articles think that it is quick and easy money: write a few pages and cash the cheques! It does not work that way. In fact writing online articles is very similar to investing in shares. If you have the long term goal in mind then you will be far more realistic in your approach.

It is important then to write quality articles and write a regular amount of them. Establishing a fixed routine can help greatly with the quantity.

Set yourself realistic goals though is very important. Aiming to write 5 articles a day is a very achievable goal; especially if you keep to 400-500 words.

When you get to 100 articles you can then look at your statistics and perhaps tweak your articles for optimum performance. This may involve the checking of key words and relating title to keyword more efficiently. Often I have gone back and changed an article title to find it performing much better afterwards.

Do not write your article and then just leave it. Unless it is performing very well there is probably ways to optimize it and getting found on those all important search engines.

Online article writing is very satisfying and very rewarding; you can also earn good money from your online articles as well. Treat it as a sincere business and devote work and research to your endeavours.
