Poetry: Hats, mittens & scarves

by Emilie West

Created on: January 08, 2010

Breathe in the pressing cold
Falling like a blanket
Covering us gently
Knitted and woolen
Hats mittens and scarves

Sneeze into a handkerchief
The cold stinging like
An icy winter bee
Melting away underneath
Hats mittens and scarves

Flush with both cheeks
As fiery as a hearth
Cooking up the steam
Clouds soft as
Hats mittens and scarves
