You have a passion for writing and you would like to start earning a steady income from it? You need to do a few things first; writing takes a lot of dedication and hard work.

You need to get organized have a neat and clutter free workspace. You must have enough paper and pens or a good working computer with a printer and software to be able to type your work out.

You will also need to write everyday and not just when you feel like it. It doesn’t matter what you write just start writing what ever comes to your mind. Make the time to write, set aside a half hour or even an hour everyday to just write.

You will also need to send enquiries out to publishing companies or even small publishing houses, magazines. But also don’t get discouraged if they send you rejection letters. Just keep sending them out; sooner or later someone will want your work.

You can also consider writing for the Internet, there are many websites online that you can submit too and earn an income from them. I write to Helium and Triond, they are both good sites to start out with. Make sure if you decide to write for online writing sites you read the writer’s guidelines and terms of service agreement before joining. Also you should also read what some of the other authors are writing about to get a feel for what topics earn you the best income.

Also if you only write let's say stories, try writing outside your comfort zone and write something different, like poetry, articles, even reviews. It will help with your writing and earning income.

One of the other things you need to do every day or every other day is read. Keep reading whether its articles from the news papers, books. Reading will help give you ideas for the next article or book your going to write.

Also if you can take a writing course at the local community center or even your local college that would be a good idea, to help you along the way to your writing career.

In conclusion, you can make good money writing if you work hard, and keep writing everyday. You will also need to be patient because making money from writing won't happens over night. You can also use search engine optimization on the Internet to get your writing out to the world. You can learn it on your own without spending a dime, there are tons of free tools that are available online.
