The Snow Queen
Quietly she descends
announcing her arrival
with a blanket for every shape
driven by blinded purity
Her decree is every color
must match her white ideal
a wonderland created
as a postcard only for her view
She muffles every sound
She wills nothing to be heard
as her icy weight amasses
a test for the works of man
All bow to her frozen face of wonder
All submit to her icy law
Even time ticks a little slower
While life awaits her will to thaw
