Poetry: Icicles

by Doug Clore

Created on: January 07, 2010

Hanging from the roof
Like crystal clear stalactite.
Prisms for morning light that
Bathes the frozen Roman columns.
Nearly touching snowy ground
Suddenly come crashing down.
Reminds me of those that fell
In '41, to break pop's head.
Nature's beautiful frozen art
Is deadly beneath its facade.
