It's All about Love
To know is to experience
When I was a little girl, I was very fascinated by the very stimulating manner in which the bible stories that relayed the union of man and woman were told. I still am. These stories leave everything to the imagination, which in many ways, is infinitely more erotic- especially, if you have my imagination. Invariably, it was always a "he" who took "her" into the tent, and he knew her. I could only imagine what it is that he knew!
Reflecting on this got me to thinking about many things, such as love, sex, life, purpose. I thought to myself if there is anything I could or would want to change in my life at present what would it be. Then a light bulb went on, and I realized that at the end of my life, I don't want to be a person who says, "I should have had more sex". That would be the gravest of tragedies. And I am not talking about indiscriminate behavior - goodness forbid. What I am talking about is the kind of sex that is the expression of love, intercourse that is the only recourse or channel of manifestation for real love's outlet as a matter of course of action- cosmic copulation.
It dawned on me, as so many things do, that all of us come to this planet for one reason and one reason only and that is to meet and encounter that one special other. We risk so much just to be here, we put up with so much and endure so much just to stay here, and when we leave here nothing of us truly remains. Surely, the only reason we must choose to pass through this portal is in the hope that we somehow, in some way get to meet our soul-mate, that one person who completely corresponds with us- in sync. The pay off is more than worth it. Otherwise, why else?
Now, I know it is easy to idealize such a meeting or coupling and place it in a fairytale setting, but fairy tales are always imbued with difficulties and darkness, remember? After all, Cinderella has a wicked stepmum and envious stepsisters, and when she somehow manages to finally make it to a fancy ball, she can't even stay and have a good time long past the hour of nine because gosh forbid the clock strikes midnight, poof she'll become a pumpkin!
Of course, let us not forget Snow White, who lays in a comatose state, due to jealousy or envy simply because she is fair and pretty, for what is close to something like forever and a day. How about Beauty and the Beast, or the Princess and the Frog? The odds are simply impossible! This
