Poetry: Hats, mittens & scarves

by Melissa R. Bickel

Created on: January 07, 2010   Last Updated: January 16, 2010

Eyes twinkling with anticipation;
snow is falling on the ground.
Excitement builds in young children
as hats, mittens, and scarves come out.

Out the door to build snowmen,
and snow angels on the ground.
Snowballs thrown at easy targets,
smack goes the impact sound.

Wind is howling, ears are covered.
snow is falling, necks are warm.
Icy precip...hands are toasty
cause hat, mittens, and scarves came out.
