Going on a cruise is a great vacation option that can be fun for family, couples or friends. Everyone can enjoy the wide range of activities a cruise has to offer. Some might even argue that a cruise is better than a traditional vacation. Here are some reasons why:

1. A cruise is all inclusive. When you pay for a cruise, you pay for food, for your room and for your transportation. One reason why this is good is because it is financially smarter. There are some cruises that come out to as low as $100 a night, which is less than you would spend on just a hotel in any major city. Aside from potentially saving you a lot, it's generally simpler than booking a flight, a hotel, ground transportation and activities individually.

2. Cruises are less stressful. For the same reason, since a cruise includes all your necessities, you don't have to worry about finding a place to eat or taking public transportation or renting a car to reach your destinations. Everything on a cruise is provided for you. You can easily eat or catch a show or go for a swim any time. You're just a short elevator ride away from everything you want to do. 

3. They are a good opportunity to visit a lot of different places at once. This might arguably be the best part of cruising. Most people don't go on week long vacations to three or four different locations. On a cruise, you can visit a different location each day, and though you won't spend a lot of time there, you get to experience a lot of different things in amazing exotic locations.

4. They serve as good preliminary trips. Obviously cruises are incredibly fun and allow you to visit many different places. The only downside is that usually they're just day trips. However, if you're perhaps planning your honeymoon or other long vacation, you can use a cruise to visit many different locales and based on that experience choose where you would want to take a vacation to.

5. You don't have to worry about drinking and driving. If you like to party, a cruise is the perfect vacation because you can go drink and dance at the different bars on the boat and then be back to your room whenever you want in just a few minutes. You don't have to worry about planning how to get back home or about who will be designated driver. And there's no risk of getting lost in the middle of the night in a foreign city.

6. Cruises are a great place to meet new people. For the same reason that you can responsibly have a good time, it is also easier to mingle on a cruise.
