How to personalize your Kindle reading device

The Kindle has been around for a while now.  Personalizing your Kindle is a great idea.  There are a variety of items that can do that for you.  There are a couple reasons why you may choose to customize it.  One reason would be because it would look cool and yet the other reason could be to protect your investment.  After all, it was not cheap.  You want to do what you can to protect your kindle.

The first item, I would suggest would to get a cover.  It does not have to be an expensive cover.  You just need a cover that will help protect your kindle.  If you are a female whom wears a purse, it is a must if you carry you kindle everywhere.  Otherwise, you probably would scratch up your kindle and that is something you would not want to do.  If you do get the one that has Amazon Kindle on it, be careful.  Remember to not open it from the back otherwise you risk the chance of breaking your kindle this way.  Still that cover is still worth it as long as you remember to open your and close your kindle with care.

Then there are the skins that you can put on your kindle.  Regardless of having the original kindle, kindle2 or kindle DX, there is a variety of different kindle skins to choose from.  You can order them from amazon or iskins.  You would have the same choices no matter which site you go with.  The best thing about most of the skins is that they look nice and keep your kindle clean is that they are light weight and easy to remove if you choose to change skins.  Even though they are light weight, they are not flimsy either.  The one thing to remember about putting a skin on is that it does take time to get it on right.  No matter how many times you try to put it on, it may not totally come on perfectly either.

One other thing you can use for your kindle is a light.  Some places you may read may be dark so it can be handy to have a light with your which you can clip onto the cover if you bought one with your kindle.  The kindle does not come with a backlight which is fine as it would cause a glare anyways.
