Kids are a beautiful gift that can be the perfect finishing touch to any relationship. Many parents can't imagine their lives without their children. They fill the days with activities for the kids, and the overall thought process focuses on the child's well-being. All the hustle and bustle could cause a couple to grow apart.
To keep from losing sight of the love you have for each other make time to spend strictly each other. Creating a regular date night can keep the original flames burning hot. Since the date night might become customary make sure to throw in some surprises along the way. A few un-explained circumstances or events will ward off boredom and predictability.
Time with each other is extremely important. Time apart from each other and the kids is a good way to make the heart grow fonder. Time alone can also relieve everyday household and work related stress. If outside issues are not dealt with they could cause strain on the romantic aspect of the relationship.
To keep things hot and heavy consider other activities besides dates. Exercising can be a fun and playful activity for couples. Helping each other stretch out those muscles could lead to more intimate feelings. It could also create stimulating conversation off the subject of kids.
In a relationship, certain activities can become expected and not appreciated. Not taking each other for granted may be a difficult task especially if a routine is developed. If one better half does the dishes more than the other it would be nice for the second better half to step in offering a night off. This gesture could become romantic the second half could suggest for the other to go upstairs to relax, only to surprise them with a glass of wine or dessert in bed.
An activity that will definitely ensure romance is renewing wedding vows. Recreating memorable moments can bring about old and new feelings for each other. This can also create the opportunity to say or do things that were not possible the first time around.
Keeping the passion alive after the kids is important. If you are able to keep passion alive in the relationship you never have to worry about romance. Kissing passionately as much as possible is one way to do this. Keeping it interesting with ideas like dressing sexy for each other at expected or unexpected moments will keep the heat up. Another important tip is to never ignore each other emotionally or physically. Make sure to always validate each others feelings. All the information above is great, but one thing to remember after the kids is each other.
