Is being a lawyer worth it?

A lawyer can be long-winded, stressful, and you could be put into the position where you go against your own moral views.
Becoming a lawyer requires years of training, but you are rewarded heavily financially, as I'm sure you all gather.
There are various "what if's" I got asked when announcing my dreams of becoming a lawyer to my parents.
"What if you're defending somebody you know is guilty? Could you really do that?"
But, really... If you wasn't doing the job, it would be getting done by somebody else anyway, so there is no difference.
My decision actually outrules these kind of questions, as I decided corporate law is the way forward for me, this way I don't come across the more "serious" cases.
Overall I would say, you want to become a lawyer? Go for it. Law is great, not just the pay, it ensures you are "in the know" when it comes to what you're personal rights and entitlements.
