David and Donna have been going out together for over five years now and finally they made a decision to move in together, Donna was excited about the idea. At work, all she could think about was moving in with David. On her way home she decided to stop at the store to pick up some stuff for her new home, things like curtains, drapes, bathroom set, air freshener and some other stuff. They have been apartment hunting for over a week now and they found a very nice apartment in Brooklyn, somewhere close to their jobs. It was a two bed room with two bathrooms a big kitchen and a little patio at the side of the building with a great view of the city. Donna and David decided on getting a two bedroom because, they wanted to have an extra room for either, a friend or a family member staying over. Two hours later the Uhaul truck pulls up in the drive way, they open the window to tell the driver to come up a little closer. Donna went down stairs to open the door so that the men would take the furniture’s out. Vicky and Donna were in the kitchen when the truck finally left.
David was waiting patiently at their new apartment when his cell phone rang, Donna “hi baby the truck is on the way ok, bye later” before David could say anything, she hang up the phone. Donna put the phone in her pocket book and went down stairs to help her friend finish cleaning up the living room. Vicky was in her car honking the horn for Donna to come out of the house. Donna was just taking a last look at her old apartment. She reaches into her pocket book, took out a penny and places it on the floor in the middle of the room and left. It was an old tradition of her family, they do that whenever they move from one place to another, and they believe that
