Add-ons are a key element to end game playing in the massive multiplayer on-line role playing game, more so known as a MMORPG, World of Warcraft (WoW.) Add-ons can do many things for a player in World of Warcraft, this includes changing button location and size, or even removing the default user interface allowing for full customization. the add-ons that many people use are based on their class and role in the game. below is an overview of basic modifiers (also known as Mods) that have found themselves with the top players.
•Recount
Recount is a combat meter that parses the data from World of Warcraft into meters that players can view in depth to analyze Damage Done, Damage Per Second, Damage Taken, Healing Done, Healing Taken, Deaths, Dispels, Interrupts, and many other forms of data to view. most players use it to rank themselves with other players, using recount to see what place they ranked in (Recount uses a 1st, 2nt, 3rd, based system.) Recount will help any player see how they rank up against the other players.
•Deadly Boss Mods
Deadly Boss Mods is a add-on that warns players of incoming abilities that are used by various bosses in the game. it shows timers that countdown to special moves and complications in fights. for example, if the boss is going to explode and do damage to everyone around him, the timer will warn you when to run to a safe distance to prevent that damage. Deadly Boss Mods covers all the raid bosses in the game.
•Omen Threat Meters
Omen Threat Meter is another onscreen meter that shows bars that show players threat on monsters. Threat is a way of showing who a monster is attacking. highest threat is usually who the monster is attacking. This allows players to make sure that they are holding the monster (For Tanks,) make sure they aren't first on the meters (Healers and Damage Dealers) to prevent them from getting hurt and possibly dying.
These three mods are the top raiding mods for World of Warcraft players. many players require other players to have these mods to play with them, due to the fact that it allows for the game to be played with more in depth consecration on the game. Many players use class specific mods that help specific classes, but this mod overview shows basic mod use for players of all classes.
