For those who are interested in making money online, you might be facing the decision as to whether or not to create a website. Let us explore various ways to make money online and whether you need a website for them. Each opportunity is slightly different and should be evaluated carefully before making a final decision.
Freelancing opportunities
If you are freelancing through a standard marketplace such as oDesk, Elance or other similar sites, you may not need a website to make money online. Once you establish yourself on these sites, you will most likely have success obtaining new clients. For this type of freelancing you will not need a website to make money online. If you are interested in finding clients outside of a freelance marketplace, you will want to have a website. Having your own website will enable you to solicit business and obtain new clients. Freelancers interested in not using freelance marketplaces will require their own website to make money online.
Sale of products
For those who are selling products, you may need a website to make money online. Unless you have an online store at a site like EBay or Etsy, you will most likely need a platform to sell your product. Those who are interested in selling products probably do need a website to make money online. eBook authors may also want a website to make additional money online.
Secret Shoppers
If you are interested in secret shopping opportunities you will not need a website to make money online. Most secret shopping opportunities are sent via email. These opportunities do not require that you have a website to make money online.
Surveys and micro-task sites
Websites that ask you to take surveys ask you to sign up on their websites. You will not need to have a website if you are interested in making money by taking surveys. You will still be able to earn money online taking surveys without having your own website. Having a website can enable you to make more money online. Micro-task sites that offer small tasks typically do not require a website, you can share your affiliate link to earn more income from these sites by using popular social media sites.
Whether you need to have a website to make money online will depend entirely on how you plan to earn money online. Developing a website to earn money online can be at your own discretion. If you are interested in making money online, make sure you decide first if you need a website.
