The mention of romantic conjures up many ideas. Some tame while others go well beyond the bounds of a fresh dating couple or even new found friends. The best part of the planning stage though is let the mind run wild with delicious thoughts of a fun and sure to be remembered evening.

Party can mean a gathering of a group or only two but in any event be sure to get word out early. With the ability to attend many different, bring in the New Year parties, let those close friends know well in advance that a special romantic evening is being planned.

First impressions, those experienced when arriving are critical to laying the groundwork for the evening. What is seen and smelled upon entering will begin the romantic process so be sure to take extra time in planning. If possible, have a glowing fire burning no matter if it is warm. The dancing flames will draw interest immediately while creating a calm, dreamy surrounding.

Place a few scented candles, not overpowering to the smell, but something gentle that brings to mind romance, strategically placed throughout. They will continually be a reminder throughout the evening to hold that special someone close.

Music is the magic key to creating a romantic evening especially on this once a year event. What takes this to the next level is the ability to have the tunes flow throughout the party area. Having guests welcomed by the sounds of Frank Sinatra's Stranger's In The Night, then converse as Norah Jones in her smoky voice and easygoing style sings Come Away With Me, and throughout the hours leading up to the countdown, songs from Barry White, Marvin Gaye and Johnny Mathis gently carry all into the next year.

For those who feel the New Year is the perfect time to lose weight have this last chance to enjoy the many different tastes provided. The well-prepared table containing warm and cold treats highlighted with flowers of the season will have everyone crowding around. There is no better place to share the spirit of the holiday while enjoying the warmth of the evening.

Time for laughs means bring out the games. Sure not everyone enjoys a board game but take the chance to get all involved. One that comes to mind is Balderdash, a game that is nothing less than hilarious. It won't take long for everyone to enjoy the wild imagination of those that bluff their way to victory.

As the lights are drawn down to close out the romantic evening that someone special or the many guests will have had an evening to remember. Bring on the new year!
