Finding a better way to weight loss

It is about time!

Finally a sensible logical approach to loosing that ever present belly fat which is a life sentence for your heart. No fad diet, no calorie counting, no weird foods that cost an arm and a leg and no nonsense.

Dr Mehmet Oz, a wizard in my eyes has revealed the simplest way to beat belly fat. A method that is easy to follow and good for your overall health. In the nick of time too, as we count down to the inevitable heart attack we are predisposing ourselves to.

I don't usually write in the 1st person, but Dr Oz’s advice had impressed me so much that I feel I must digress a moment and explain my sheer delight over this revelation.

My husband died at the age of 44. I was 38 at the time with 3 children. He was not a man to see doctors and insisted on his BBQ and beer at least twice a week. He smoked and had a very stressful job so he was a heart attack waiting to happen. He had 90% blockages in all of his major heart arteries and had several stints placed into his arteries to keep them open until he could have his heart surgery. Sadly he died suddenly from a brain tumour only two months before he was due to have his surgery. In the six years following his death, I have approached his age and am now 44 myself and severely overweight. Stress, depression, lack of exercise and eating economical starch laden meals have been the root of my evil. I realise now that I am the same age as my late husband, that 44 is much too young to die. I am nervous and depressed and I cannot shift the ever gaining weight and I slowly watch myself follow in his foot steps.

Then Wham! I hear of the amazing Oz. Here is a no nonsense approach I can work with. When you are a single mom with a teenage children who are fussy eaters, it is not easy to keep up the good fight and stay on any weight loss plan. A hectic work schedule and parental duties leave me completely exhausted at the end of the day. Then there is dinner to prepare. A daily nightmare and most often we land up with spaghetti and meatballs or some frozen dinner overladen with the carbohydrates my kids want. Too exhausted to move, I shake my head at the dog waiting for her walk and collapse into bed, only to start the whole ordeal again the next day.

I am sure this is a most familiar story and not unique by any means. To sit and watch my body go to waste and feel powerless to help is soul destroying. Then along comes Dr Oz. He plainly tells you to toss contents of your kitchen closets into the bin and
