W A T E R F A L L
Mere instruments seek the view
Of a ‘fall, ‘till now restrained;
The icemelt, which knows those few,
Will serve a destiny, quietly contained
There can be no real control
When trying to time a sighting seen,
But the first and final fulfilment
Dictates the line between
When a spring is released,
Flowing down sloping ground,
She sees a similarity, seeded
Inside her subconscious, unfound
She is one of a multitude,
Now aware of changing climates,
Peoples, with the Flood imbued;
Deeply hidden, in the primates
Earthly tomorrows herald guilt,
If our selves, ‘till now underlain,
Are to wear the world, back to origins
Where seasons begin again
