It's a new year,
over here.
I bound for the warehouse,
open day,
shopping extrava-bon-bon,
bargain,
flowery stanza and pockets full of coin,
grab it as fast as you can,
sale item.
It's a new chair I'm after,
one full of laughter,
-at no expense to self and
no detraction from another.
Not hungover,
buried in clover,
not a cloud in the sky,
whilst we share humble pie.
Come over here,
grab a leg of my chair,
toast to the day,
delight at the night,
shriek like a hoot owl,
ogle in delight,
at my chair and the share,
we all have of the love,
of a friend and a toast to our Host.
So happy new year,
from me to you, over there.
