My beloved, Heaven was the most beautiful and gifted horse in the world. She was as beautiful, loved, and priceless as her name. Heaven was out of the legendary greats Man O' War, Bold Ruler, and Seabiscuit. Everybody who knew Heaven loved her. Especially the children she taught to ride. Heaven was my baby, because I don't have any children, and she was my best friend. Heaven was a gifted and inspirational teacher. She inspired everyone who had the courage to stand next to her flame. Heaven was a little bit of "Heaven on Earth." She was a winged beauty who would take you to a higher level. Heaven floated like a butterfly. Riding Heaven was like riding a Pegasus, a heavenly experience.
Heaven was suppose to be safe with friends in Lubbock, Texas that I'd known for over a decade. But sadly, they weren't my friends after all. They were cruel outlaw horse killers. They matched raced Heaven, they butchered her, busted her big thigh bone, shot her twice in the head with a little caliber 22, and left her for dead. To avoid admitting any wrong doing they left Heaven's broken, bleeding, lifeless body for me to find the next morning that once sparkled like cut diamonds in the glistening sunshine. I screamed bloody murder, and ran, and fell down, and got back up and ran and screamed all away across the rodeo junkyard, "O God! Noooooo! Ahhhhhh! O God, Momma, they killed Heaven!" They really killed me. Heaven died a slow gut wrenchingly painful death. Heaven died alone in a rodeo junkyard not fit for a dog much less a Pegasus. The agonizing pain riddled across Heaven's once beautiful face ripped out my heart and sent me reeling into a black abyss. I had a mental breakdown from the brutality of the incident.
I cried oceans of tears for my beloved Heaven. I cried almost every day since my brutal nightmare began, "Mommy's so sorry. You were suppose to be safe. They were suppose to be my friends."
To help ease the pain, since I couldn't save Heaven or myself, I saved a beautiful Golden Retriever puppy, Piloma, which means "Dove" in Spanish. Piloma had spent her entire life tied up at the end of a chain. I took a picture of Piloma happily swimming in my pool one day. I took the pictures to be developed, and low and behold, I couldn't believe my eyes! There was a reflection of Heaven, who's a Pegasus in Heaven now. Goose bumps ran up and down my spine. Excitement was running through my veins like a herd of pure class Thoroughbred horses running down the final stretch at the Kentucky Derby. I excitedly took the pictures to be blown up. The clerks at Kinko's saw the images of a Pegasus as well. Goose bumps ran up and down their spines too. You should see the 36 x 48 enlargement. Wow! It's awesome! It's a miracle! It will blow your mind! It's "Kisses from Heaven." Heaven is in heaven waiting for me. One sweet day we will be together again.
Everything I do, I do for Heaven. I've started a "Kisses from Heaven" art collection, in loving memory of my beloved Heaven, the most beautiful and gifted horse in the world. Even after life, Heaven is still inspiring the horse lovers, artists, and poets in the world. Make no mistake, all horses go to heaven. They are divine beings who have carried us throughout history and carried us to greatness, and they shall carry us throughout heaven for eternity.
Kisses from Heaven...
