Poetry: Lost souls

'Weary Eyes'

I see the weary, frightened eyes of the tired souls

looking out at me, crying out to be tenderly consoled;

oh, so frightened, they are lost with monsters amid

with the demons they have conjured up and then hid

Demons, the fallacious lies they’ve been led to believe

creating dark, thick, ugly balls of negativity;

every time they experience a fit of anger and rage,

it’s a monster inside, come up from it’s hidden grave

Frighten eyes of those who have wandered so far away

into the dark, slippery confines of cruel mental caves,

silly notions, imaginations, distortions of many kinds,

delusions of cause and effect, contortions of the mind

This is just a world of dynamic, swirling energy

negative vibrations can be converted to positivity;

energy, too intense to be looked upon alone

God but wait’s our call for guidance to transform

Oh, what do those frightened weary eyes see

possessed by, drenched in, ego’s noxious insanity
