There are proponents and opponents of global warming. Undoubtedly the planet is getting warmer the question seems to be why, or if it's caused by mans burning of fuel. Certainly the planet has warmed and cooled in the past but the main difference now is that it's happening in the blink of an eye chronologically speaking. Confirming to me that man is the culprit. But there is more to the debate then the fact that we are causing the suns energy to be trapped inside the atmosphere by the addition of our gases blocking its escape back out into space. We burn millions of barrels of oil a day in our inefficient combustion engines, tons of coal in our even more inefficient power plants. Could it the fire that is according to the bible that is to consume the earth is the fire from our inefficient combustion engines, giving up 70% of their heat as wasted heat back into the environment? Virtually everything we do now consumes energy and converts it into heat. Even my typing on this lap top means some coal powered power plant is boiling water at 18% efficiency just so I can have this thing to type on. Ops must stop now the cooling fan just came on.
