Her heart lays in pieces on the floor
She cannot yet manage to put them back together
She doesn't see the point anymore
Her tears flow like a river
Sobbing sounds fill the still air
Her soul once happy and whole, now just a sliver
She has cracked, she is broken, so empty inside
She cannot remember how she got here
Now she just wants to curl up and hide
She feels like if it came, she would welcome her death
Anything would feel better than this
She wishes for it, longs for it, with each heavy breath
The solution so simple, ticking hands on a clock
She cannot see the light she will reach at the end of the tunnel
But gradually she will heal, with each tick-tock.

As if maybe there is something to gain.
Her heart is broken and never to
