She is so shiny and so bright
I enjoy her so much more at night
In my favorite chair or in the bath
When I open her up she speaks of love, faith, mystery and trust
All the things that interest me so much.
I am lost for minutes and then hours
Engrossed in her world,
no longer in the chair or in the bath
But in the mystery she has spun
When the speaking stops and she is shiny again
It takes awhile to remember I am still in the chair
Or bath ,
for her words of love, faith, mystery, and trust are slow to recede
Some say she is just a book, I say she is our access to a whole new world, would you agree?

Waiting like soldiers
Before a battle,
Gathering dust.
They sing to me
Sad songs,
