Pulling your hair out, frustrated with all those fad diets from Cosmo, Oprah, and Red book? Trying to find the greatest weight loss plan is harder than dealing with over demanding boss, screaming kids (yours or someone else's) and of course the boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife scenario. Whew! Its enough to make my head spin!
The answer? Diving into the past books, ariticles and health classes in highschool I believe it comes back to balance.
Seriously, the point of getting the ten pounds off to look a bit more sexy, fit into that size ten or eight? The true motive is ego, pride and sex appeal.
STOP! This is the quickest way to balloon ten, twenty pounds. If you have tried these all cookie diets, no carbs, do fifty thousand crunches in a week then you know what I am talking about! The human body is wonderful bio-mechanical piece of work. You remember from health class, right? The body will actually create the fever in order to kill the bacterial infection. Wow and we take fever reducers, makes you wonder why the flu is stronger every year. Yet I digress, this is about dieting.
Okay Step One: Repeat the affirmation daily three times in front of a mirror, (if possible)
"I love myself. I Forgive myself. I set myself free."
Step Two: You are a beautiful creation of your version of God. The voluptuousness of your curves, the roundness in your bottom and the smile that sends an arrow through Jesus Christ Himself are perfect. Remind yourself that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Step Three: Replace soda, coffee (except for that morning cup.. Got to have mine!) with water. While you are drinking the water state mentally; "Water is Life".
Step Four: Go outside! Walk to a park, a tree, a bush or just some green grass. It doesn't matter where you live someone, somewhere has a potted plant outside. Look at it and say thank you. Tell the plant, tree or whatever you found, "I love you."
Step Five: Okay so Television, news casters and talk show hosts tell you that eating healthy is hard. They cite reason after reason for you to tell yourself why you can't.
Change the Tape.
"Eating Healthy is easy! I love eating great food. Carrots and nuts are filled with nutrients and love." What you put into it you will get out of it. Heard that one before?
There are hundreds of books written over the last century about the power of thought.
A Course in Miracles, In The Meantime, Conversations with God (books 1-3), The Power of Positive Thinking, Your Best Life Now, You! The Owner's Manual, Illusions, and The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People just to name a few. This idea of thought manifesting isn't new, its just not talked about. Why? Well if you knew that you created everything in your life, and had the power to change it by thinking something different would you buy Cosmo? Or even listen to advertisements by Cheerios's telling you that eating whole grain oats is a sacrifice buy hey we make it better with honey?
Yeah, probably not. But hey, you still want to lose that ten pounds there is always the newest fad diet. Though if the idea of losing weight, keeping it off, having a better emotional well being and generally being happy all the time? Try the five step plan, read a book or too and don't forget to smile at a stranger. I always lose five pounds of negative weight when I do that!
