What do you think my life was like
Before you came along?
Did I dare to dream a love like ours,
Would ever belong to me?
Do you think I lived life alone,
In castles or dungeons strong?
Do you think I had no sweet first love,
Whose memories linger still?
What would you have my life be like
Before you came along?
Would you have it filled only with pain,
Despair choking out every song?
Would you welcome my confession,
Before you no goodness was known?
Or would you rather know the truth
I had a life of my own.
At times I walked along the beach,
Or lay beside a stream.
I gazed in the eyes of my true love.
I promised never to leave.
Before you rush from my loving arms,
Think of your life before me.
It's clear that our lives have brought us together,
And Because of before, there's no after.

Poetry: Before you
by Betty Blake
Before you came along, my life had a huge void;
at times, like a big gaping hole. I used to cry '
myself to sleep some nights
by J.I. Punk
Before you I was ok, now I lay here battered and beaten and afraid to take a breath.
Before you I could smile, now I wonder
Before you,
There were teardrops on the petals of the leaves,
Before you,
There were dreams drifting off in streams,
Before
i am a bluetiredredscreami ngcrazy person without you.
blue without and tired from thinking
and red from screaming and crying
I need you to help brake down my wall. Show me that I have nothing to be afraid of at all. Take me in your arms and holdme
