Mobile technology has come on leaps and bounds in recent years. It may not seem it, but it wasn't too long ago that we were all carrying around mobile devices that closely resembled bricks and were of little use to anyone. Sure, you could make a phone call but that was about it. Then came the ability so send SMS messages. This was progress, but nothing hugely significant. Fast forward to today, however, and we have the ability to practically run our lives via our mobile devices! How the times have changed! Thinking about mobile devices today, we have the ability to read our emails, use instant messaging, social networking, even online banking. Most new mobile devices also have the ability to record videos, take high quality photographs and also use them as MP3 players. The Motorola Droid is one of the latest in smartphones that has the ability to do virtually anything. Within reason of course. Not only can you do all of the above and more, but you can now even manage your YouTube account from your Droid itself. Next, you need to connect your Droid to the Wi-Fi signal to get a connection going. Firstly, you need to tap the touch interface to bring up the menu. Click on the 'settings' icon by tapping the screen again. Under the 'settings' will be a sub category that is titled 'Wireless & Settings'. To connect to a network in a hot spot or in your home, you need to tap the tab that says 'Wi-Fi Settings'. Once the signal from the Wi-Fi is picked up you will probably need to enter a network key to verify that you are authorised to access this connection. If you are the owner then you will be able to find this yourself, if, however, you are in a Wi-Fi hot spot and want to connect to that Wi-Fi signal then you will not be prompted for a network key as it is an open and unsecure network, meaning that it is not password protected and anyone can use it. Once you have entered the network key,
