For some women, having frizzy hair is a nightmare. They see other women with sleek locks and wonder how they do it.
For some it is genetics, for others who are not blessed with naturally smooth hair, it takes a little effort creating that polished look.
Creating smooth hair starts in the bathroom. Whatever you do, do not use shampoo and conditioner that give extra moisture. Extra moisture is the last thing you want. What you need, what your hair needs, is keratin.
The king of frizz control is John Freda. Whether you have blond, brown, red or black hair, all John Freda’s shampoos and conditioners have a build-in oil that calms and smoothes hair.
For extra frizz control, John Freda has a serum that should be applied to sopping wet hair. Only after the oil is applied should extra water be squeezed out. The hair should then be gently towel dried.
If you are not a fan of serum, try John Freda’s Root Awakening Detangling Spray. Not only will hair be easier to comb through, but it will be more manageable and sleeker. www.johnfreda.com
Another collection of hair care products that delivers desired results is Bain de Terre. Whether you have dry, normal, oily, or color treated hair, Bain de Terre has something that suits your needs and gives you smooth hair in the process.
Bain de Terre is the only product line that uses botaniceuticals, a revitalizing product that keeps hair healthy and shiny. Their most magical product is their Recovery Complex Anti Frizz. A serum that leaves hair silky smooth without weighing it down. www.baindeterre.com
Redken is another excellent name in hair care. Redken Smooth Down promises to smoothes down hair up to four times better than any other shampoo and conditioner. Smooth Down is formulated for very dry and unruly hair. Redken uses a combination of candelilla was and macadamia oil for a frizz free, long lasting, smooth look. www.redken.com
Then there are the tools of course. Ideally you could let your hair dry naturally, but if you need a little help, chose a thick round brush and a hair dryer with multiple settings. The coolest setting is always the friendliest to your hair.
The InStyler can only be used on dry hair, but gives excellent results. Whether you want volume, lose curls or straight hair, the InStyler is guaranteed to leave your hair 100% frizz free. http://www.instylerhair.com
Smooth hair is healthy hair. A quality shampoo and conditioner, combined with a serum or detangling spray can make all the difference.
