Asexuality is a term whose definition is consistently debated. Some people use the term to distinguish people who lack attraction to other people. These people use asexuality as a third alternative sexual orientation. Alternatively, the term can be used to apply to people who find any kind of sexual behavior abhorrent. This application of the term suggests that asexuality is a sexual dysfunction. Alongside this unceasing debate is the question of whether the term "asexual" is even accurate as its original definition describes neither of the aforementioned conditions. In biology, the term is used to designate a species that reproduces from a single member, whereas in the later context it pertains to an individual who does not reproduce at all, or who does not have the desire to reproduce at all.
