That blind old fool, that cupid, love,
Runs barefoot through the cobbled streets,
Shooting his darts each way to snare
Each man he meets.

Love is blinded by beauty,
Embracing lust that passion has melt,
Coming from the pledge of loyalty,
Emotions are buried
It was then,
when she could only chase him with her eyes as he ran away,
and use her gaze to hold on to the golden skin,
I don't hear when he sings out of tune.
I keep silent when he does a faux pas
or his shirt doesn't go with his pants.
