Poetry: Warmth

by Matthew J. Geiger

Created on: December 24, 2009

The one I need

I love with not my heart;
My head gives me much,
Yet I need more to live.

Blood gives all else but warmth;
Life, however, means very little,
When it lacks our truest desire.

My soul alone does little for me;
In truth, I need so few things,
I love only through the One I need
