The whole meaning behind finding the easy way out does not want to put the work and effort into what ever it is you are doing. 9 out of 10 situations the easy way is not the right way, there for not the smart way. Whether or not it is cowardly depends on the situation and if bravery can be measured by that situation. I do not think in anyway that taking the easy way is the right way. Everything in this world happens for a reason, whether you believe in it or not. Human beings use experiences in life to grow and learn; if we all took the easy way instead of the right way then we would never learn.
A perfect example of the difference between the easy way and the right way is money, there is a easy way to get money, you could steal it, sell drugs, and many other illegal and unethical was to get money. Then there is the right way, the harder way, work and earn you money. Those who believe that the easy way is the better way will even agree that in this case it is not better. Here is a perfect example of how what may be easier for you hurts other people. Doing things the easy way always affects others and by caring more about yourself instead of the effect your actions have on others is unethical but selfish.
Trying to find a easier way to do things the right way is different then doing things the easy way. If you are asked to put clothes away there are to ways to could do that. Throw all the clothes in a dresser and walk away or you could fold them and put them away right which would be the right way. You have a choice though of how you do it the right way, fold as you go or fold them all first, separate them, then put them away. You can then decide which would be the easier way to do it the right way.
When I was younger my mother would tell me to go and clean my room and I would, the easy way. I would go up there and push it all around, under the bed, in the closet. Where ever I could stuff it. Then I would later have to redo it the right way, it may not have been the same day but sooner or later I would have to clean the same mess. It was at this time I started to learn that it is better to clean a small mess everyday the right way then to clean a big mess once and a while.
Everything you do in life you will have a choice to do it the right way or the easy way, in school you can study for test and get a better chance a passing or you could not study and hope for the best. Work, you could work hard and try to get father up the latter in that company or not work hard and stay where you are hoping that in time someone will quit or get fire that opens a spot for you due to seniority. You can start you own business and just stand there behind customer happen to see the store or work hard to make the business be known. It is all up to you which road you take.
The harder you try the more chance you have to fail, if that is why you take the easy way then yes you are a coward. If you do not give it your best chances are you will fail and if you do not try at all you are guaranteed to fail in everything you do. Life is better for those who do not take the easy way.
