Being in love is a wonderful feeling. It's hard to describe or to explain, but there is no doubt you will know when you are in love. However, it is best to be cautious in the early stages of a relationship. What comes before love is infatuation or lust. These are feelings you may have for someone you don't even know, such as a celebrity. This is not love, but a deep interest with someone and you may think they are the most wonderful person. However, in reality this can not be so, because you don't have enough facts to make such a judgement call.

The important thing is you don't make any life changing decisions when in the lust stage. Keep any feelings to yourself and get to know the person better. Now, after some time if your feelings remain the same it's quite possible that this is the beginnings of love. One early sign is spending time together. If you enjoy this persons company and you can't stop thinking about them when you are apart. Next, think about the conversations you have and decide if you hold similar thoughts and values.

It's important to be able to talk at length with your partner, because communication is vital in every successful relationship. Next think about the romantic feelings you have for your partner, are they ones of friendship or of romantic love. By this I mean do you just like spending time together or is there a strong chemical attraction and connection. This is really a matter of a gut feeling, because being in love isn't scientific it's just something you know deep down.

As I have said earlier love is a feeling you are likely to know. If what you think you are feeling is love, then it probably is. However, if you don't feel it and hoping it is, then it probably is not love. For couples that are still not sure there are two things which will say for sure. The first is distance and the second is arguments. Signs of love with distance is when it feels terrible to be apart and all you are thinking about is what they are doing or when they are coming back home. If the you don't spend any time thinking of them and it's a relief to have them out the way, then this probably is not love. 

Arguments are going happen in every relationship. So the point here is how do you feel afterwards. Still very much in love and wanting to be with them or hatred towards them. In true love you will still have strong feelings for them even seconds after a heated argument. My advice is if you find this love don't ever let it go, because some people only find it once.
