Drops fall from the sky as a chill can be felt from the wind blowing by.  Suddenly, a tiny yelp calls out to their master.  He waits in hope that he will be saved from the shivering elements.  Realizing that no one will come, he lies down curled up trying to keep himself warm.

Such wonderful creatures should be treated as equals to their human masters. Their pure innocence alone should be a primary reason to keep them indoors.  Aside from that, to have a pet in the home can be beneficial.

Being that pets are no longer animals in their natural habitat, they depend on their human family to take care of them.  They need all the necessities there are in life for them to live.  Having them indoors will provide this and much more.  It is easier to remember when they need to eat, and monitoring their thirst can be seen from their bowls in the home.  Should the elements hit the home, at least they are protected within doors rather than freezing in the cold or getting dehydrated from the heat.

While they are indoors, observing their everyday well being is most helpful.  If they are outdoors it is difficult to see if they aren't feeling good until their condition worsens.  At least in the home, one can tell their pet isn't feeling well by their behavior, drinking and eating habits, or even by watching their sleep pattern. Plus, being that they are in the home, one is constantly handling them.  Therefore, if there are any wounds present or even the slightest limp in their walk, it is quickly noticed.

Pets have a sense of security while inside rather than outside.  Should fireworks explode or thunder crackle in the sky, they are safe with their human family instead of being outside and shivering in fear alone.  If they are alone outside and a loud noise is heard, like fireworks, they may become frightened and run if they are not properly protected.  Being in the home keeps them safe from this.

Aside from giving them high quality care for being indoors, pets bring much more joy to the individual or family.  Pets know when their human family is down or not feeling well and will do their best to cheer up their family.  They may bring their favorite toy to play or simply just cuddle up next to the person that is feeling down.  Pets are, also, good listeners.  Ever needed someone to listen to problem, but no one was around?  Well, pets do not mind sitting or laying there to listen what is on a person's mind.  And petting them at the same time helps even more; for it brings much comfort to both the pet and owner.

To have a pet indoors brings a higher quality of life to them as well as their owners.  The positives of having them indoors is much higher than if they were outdoors.  Pets are not just animals.  They are people, too.
