Being romantic with someone does not always mean you have to reach into your wallet. Having a romantic date with someone can be as easy as taking a walk in a scenic quiet park or spending a nice night in front of a fire place with some soft music playing. In fact, there are so many ways to have a romantic date that cost little to nothing. A lot of times the simple fact that your spending time together no matter what you are doing is romantic in itself.
Inviting that special someone over for a nice home cooked meal tops my list. You can set the table up with some flowers you hand picked from your yard or some where close by. Candles on the table makes for a nice ambiance and will set the tone for a nice romantic dinner. Make sure before hand you know what the other person likes. I always do an appetizer followed by and entree and ending with a desert. This way it stretches the evening out and gives plenty of time for conversation.
Movie night has always been a fun and romantic way to spend time cuddled up on the couch. Almost everyone enjoys a good movie and when it's with some one you love it makes it that much better. Always ask the other what movie they would like to see and go from there. Pop some popcorn and spend a great evening next to the one you love in close contact. Where movies only run for about an hour and a half it might be a good idea to have a couple of movies ready for your date.
Walking can be a very romantic date, and it does not cost anything to do. You can choose to walk in a park, downtown, woods, fields or just about any where that has nice serene scenery. Walking downtown and window shopping has always been a favorite thing of mine to do. Holding hands walking around opens up great opportunities to talk. In the park looking at flowers or taking some time to sit on the bench and taking in the fresh air is always a great date.
Some other low cost ideas are going for a drive. Every one loves to drive around and see different things. Ice Skating is on the top of my list as well. Couple skating is very romantic because of the contact and can be so much fun. Going for picnics in a nice secluded area by the water or a field can be very romantic. Festivals are also a great way to have a nice romantic date. Festivals often have music and dancing and can be a great way to spend time with another.
