Giving a mug for a gift all by itself is pretty boring - however, there are some fun things you can do with mugs that make great Christmas gifts.  Here are some ideas about how to make Christmas mug gifts.

For the candy lover

If you know someone who is a big fan of candy - whether hard or chocolate - take a tall Christmas mug and pack it full of their favorites. Top it off with a candy cane on the edge and wrap with cellophane.  If you do not want to use cellophane, purchase the cling wrap that is available in colors at your local grocery store.

For the coffee lover

Coffee lovers typically love mugs. The taller the better!  You can purchase inexpensive Christmas mugs and put them in a basket with small sample packs of flavored coffees, flavored creamers and top it off with some brightly colored candies.  Most grocery stores have single pot servings of a variety of coffee flavors or you can pick them up at your local discount store.

For children

Consider a Christmas mug gift for children with all of their favorite things in it.  You can put in single serving sizes of hot chocolate, microwave popcorn, hard candies and even small stocking stuffer type toys if you purchase a large enough mug.

Tea lovers

The tea lovers delight is a Christmas mug gift filled with a variety of flavors of tea bags. Throw in some sweetener or a small bottle of lemon and you have made most tea drinkers happy.

For her

Delight the ladies in your life with a Christmas mug gift filled with sachets, small pouches of potpourri or tea lights. These make the ideal gift for an office mate regardless of how they celebrate the holidays.  Make sure before giving this gift that you have verified the person does not have allergies.

For him

For the guy in your life that you are unsure what to purchase a Christmas gift mug can be a treasure trove. You can put in nips of his favorite liquors, a gift card, gift certificate or tickets to an event that he wants to attend.

Summary

You can make a variety of Christmas gift mugs to have on hand for last minute gift giving or to give to people you plan to exchange gifts with. The options avialable to make Christmas gift mugs are limited only by your imagination!
