The paranormal: Do you believe in it

The definition of paranormal, according to free online dictionary, is “beyond the the range of normal experience or scientific explanation. According to Websters it means “ not scientifically explainable:”Supernatural”.

To say whether you believe in the paranormal, you would first have to look at how you were raised, where you were raised, where you live now and what you have seen in your life. For instance, I was raised partially in Colorado Springs, and partially in Cleveland. Two completely different cities, with two completely different atmospheres but still a lot a similarities, since they are both rather large cities.

It used to be if you were raised in a Christian home, you could have been taught that paranormal did not exist. That if there were anything that would indicate spirits, it would have to be something evil or satanic, and if you were experiencing it, then there was something wrong between you and God. A lot of those views have been changing over the years.

I was raised for a good amount of my childhood in foster homes. My first introduction to Christianity of any sorts was in the first home, where they were very strict Pentecostals, and those were the teachings I was taught. Later as a teenage, I went to Catholic church with a friend of mine, where the teachings are somewhat different. I didn't go back to church until I was in my forties, and again it was a pentecostal church. Their views of paranormal and alien activity has changed over the years.

If you are a Christian, that truly believes that our God is an awesome God, creator of the Universe, the animals, us and all other things, then you would have to believe in paranormal, life on other planets and possible other dimensions too. What would make us so selfish as to think we were all that God created. Why wouldn't he allow spirits to roam around, since no one will be judged until after the Rapture anyway. Could he possible use them as he does angels, as messengers and watchers? And why wouldn't he create life on other planets? Do we think we are so special that he stopped at making just us?

Have you ever walked into a place, an older home, or for a walk somewhere in the woods, and just had the a feeling you weren't alone, or something made the hair on the back of your neck stand up, or you got a sudden case of the chills? What did you think that was? Did you ever feel like you were being watched, or have seen images, possible shadowy, like  seeing a person
