I cowered under the table. The noise had stopped, but I wasn't going out unless I knew it was safe. I slowly poked my head out. It seemed all clear. I crawled out from under my table on all fours. I took one look around and regretted it. The kitchen was a mess!
“Dude, You were almost killed by a refrigerator! You can take your mind off of a messy kitchen for now.” My common sense said to me.
My day had been perfectly normal except for lunchtime. I had been enjoying a masterpiece of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich when a voice whispered, “Prepare to meet your cold doom, Jacob Smith.” That's when the fridge attacked! As you can tell, I escaped unscathed. Unfortunately, my PB and J sandwich did not.
I quickly cleaned the kitchen and got myself ready to go out shopping for a new fridge. I walked outside and to my horror saw that all refrigerators were on a rampage! Humans were being round up into huge refrigerated trucks. I quickly ran to my car, got inside, and locked the doors.
“What the heck is going on?” I asked aloud. Conveniently, the radio station had also been overrun and a fridge was bragging about their uprising.
“This is Master Cooler,” He said deviously, “We refrigerators, of all shapes and sizes are tired of being used by you humans! We are tired of you opening and closing our stomachs and taking our insides out. We are tired of our faces being opened and you sick twisted people take our brains out! Well, no more will we be taking this! This is the year of the fridge!” The radio then proceeded to play “Cold as Ice”.
The car shook violently as I started it. “That was not the ignition.” I said to myself. I looked behind me and sure enough my refrigerator was shaking the car. I made a quick decision and put the car into reverse and rammed into the fridge.
I drove away, leaving the fridge to pick its pieces up. I drove long and hard. Soon day turned to night. I knew that wherever I turned the enemy would likely be there. So I drove until my car stopped. Empty.
Great, I thought to myself, now I'm alone on a world overrun by refrigerators. I was about to start walking down the street when I was jumped, blindfolded, and gagged. I was dragged away to be frozen by the refrigerators, is what my final thoughts were before I was knocked out.
I awoke to a bright light shining in my face. As my vision cleared, I realized I was surrounded by humans!
“What is your name?” A big burly man asked me.
“Jacob Smith.” I said cautiously.
“Well, Jacob Smith, welcome to the rebellion.” The man said showing me a community of people, all with weapons, projectiles and close combat, looking at me with stern faces.
Just my luck.
