Poetry: Tell me how to say good-bye

by Robert Dams

Created on: December 22, 2009

This is how you say good-bye

You walk right up to them and look them in the eye

Then you tell them straight to their face

That they are miserable, ugly and a disgrace

If that doesn’t work, then you can say

You know what honey, it’s been nice, but I’m going away.

If they persist to stick around.

Then you may have to throw em to the ground.

And say look here buddy can’t you take a hint

You’re out of here like my belly lint.

What do I have to do to make you understand?

Hit you across the face with my backhand.

No, violence is not the answer in any way.

So I’m just gonna walk over here and say have a good day.
