The market today is cluttered with programs and products offering accelerated weight loss. With that being said, the sad fact is that 99.9% do not do what they say they do. It is increasingly hard today to find a diet plan that will increase your chances of taking off pounds and quickly. If you were one of the ones who fell for their fast weight loss pitch, you probably spent a fortune to do it. Every thing from pills to pre packaged meals and the cost for some is not an option.
From my own experiences I am going to share with you the diets that actually did take off pounds and quickly. Although it is argued that it may not be a healthy diet, it in fact is a safe and healthy diet if followed as directed through the book. A Low carb diet will in my experience drop the most pounds off of you and much faster than any other diet I have tried. Dr. Atkin's Diet Revolution book can be purchased at most book stores and for only a small fraction of what most other diets will cost you. I dropped six pounds my first week, and continued to lose weight by following this diet.
If the Dr. Atkin's diet has you on the fence, then the next best choice would be the south beach diet. The south beach diet is a Doctor designed diet for a fast and healthy way to lose weight. This diet incorporates a lot of the low carb ideas but goes beyond into other area's as well. Your first week will net you a 3 to 5 pound weight loss if followed as directed. The best thing about this diet is you can buy frozen south beach meals at your local grocer. The best thing is there is no membership fees, just a simple book purchase and your ready to go.
As with any diet, an active healthy lifestyle is recommended. Get outside and take walks around the block. Jogging and other cardio fitness will help you burn off those calories and will help you burn off those unwanted pounds. As in any diet if you do not follow the diet the way it is recommended chances are you will fail in your quest to lose them pounds. The bottom line, dieting does not need to cost you hundreds of dollars to do. For a better chance of success start your diet with a friend or family member. Some one who will help you have a better drive towards your goal.
