VINCIT OMNIA VERITAS
From the Heart of the Earth I am come,
Heard amongst the golden streets of Ilium,
For I have always been that I am that I am,
Fore-son of the fabled king Priam,
A King who was slain in a battle of skill and force,
Because he endorsed the gift of the Trojan Horse,
But be that as it may, I survived that fateful day,
And across seas and mountains I made my way,
To the wintery North where the Aurora dances,
Where the sun shines forever and the reindeer prances,
Exalted as a fearsome god over Heaven and Earth,
Where my deific mother reigned supreme, Queen of Life, Lady of Mirth,
Ever fearing the dirge of the great heath-cock,
The crying harbinger of the Ragnarøkkr,
But from the North I traveled to the most wondrous places,
Where Pope Gregory I saw in Deira the most angelic faces,
Ones that he held close to heart and hand,
From then on, referring to that land as Anglii-land(England),
Now I wonder...if it is by mere luck or the grace of Jehovah,
That England’s capital city was once called Troia Nova(New Troy),
Founded by the Brute of the elder Troy,
Descendant of Aeneas, survivor of the Grecian ploy,
The place I was said to have been born,
Before my will stretched all the way to Africa’s mighty Horn,
To the peoples of Æthiopia, kissed by the silken lips of many suns,
And most akin to the Promised Land and the Holy Ones,
For their great emperors, of glorious citadel and hallowed kiva,
Were descended from the sacred son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba,
However, my will forced you west to ruin and maroon,
To be enthralled amongst the peoples of Cameroon,
Shipped to a new world across the sea,
And centuries later, regain your God-given right to live gay and free,
Through all these things I endured with you...never leaving your side,
Strengthening your spirit and becoming your iron pride,
Lifting you ever higher so that you may stand tall,
To tell the entire world that Truth Conquers All!
