If you believe in god, that he is our father, cares for us and loves us, then you know that there is no unnecessary suffering. Pain is not a bad thing. If you had a large wound and no pain you may die. Pain refines us. Christ suffered immense pain for us should we be spared from all pain. Free agency isn't something it is everything, without agency we would be cattle waiting for the next water hole. This life is a proving ground where we use our agency to choose right or wrong and learn and grow from it.If a child is born with a terrible disease,is in pain it's whole time here and dies, that obviously really sucks, so do you care enough to cry about it and write an article, or do you really care, will you go help the hundreds, of thousands of people suffering in the world today from all sorts of malladies or maybe even help just one, that is your choice, your agency. being religious as I am I look forward longingly to my death, but am in no hurry, I just pray that when it comes, it can be said that I made a difference, I made something better, I used my agency and my time to lessen the suffering at least a little, and didn't whine too loud when my pains and trials came. My greatest sorrow comes in seeing my own children in pain, but like god I know that pain helps us learn, and grow.If I could take away my children's own pain I would not, not because I like to see their pain, but because if my children experienced no pain when they did crazy things they would be crippled, or dead. All of us would.
