Perhaps this subject title should include the words, "without getting scammed." If you've ever tried to make money online; the chances are very high that you've lost money (or a significant amount of your time) at some point. It happens to the most studious, sensible and best of us. I believe the lures are the words - easy, spare time, get rich quick, comfort of your own home, and no previous experience required (to name a few variants). In other words - the Internet is using the dreams of average people.

If you're truly looking for information to make a few pennies, with online efforts, the best sources are search engines such as Google or Yahoo. Trust me; you'll get well over a million ideas from simply typing in the words, "making money online." You will see thousands of affiliate programs, pay-per-click sites, secret shoppers, surveys, email reading and other various ideas' that people have for making quick money. The problem is that, in most cases, it's not the end user (you) who makes any money.

So what is truly the best source?

Actually, the best source for making money online is YOU. It is in the quality information or product that you can provide. I honestly believe that within every person there is something wonderful that can be shared. For everything that can be shared there are thousands of people who want the information or product. And, people are looking for reliable, honest, trustworthy places to shop or learn. The secret is in your passion for what you love, the effort you put into it and truly caring for those you call customer or client.

Providing Quality Information / Quality Content:

This can be done via a blog, your own web-site (such as an online school) or, if you are very industrious, writing an eBook. This site has a wonderful idea based on quality information. It will take time and marketing efforts to get your name known, but once achieved the rewards could be very great.

Providing a Reliable, Quality Product or Service:

For product sales a web-site may be best, but selling via eBay, Yahoo Auctions, Etsy and / or Amazon could also be wonderful avenues. Again what will make it work will be the marketing.

But in the end the key word is Quality. For every person that has been used, or felt frustrated with a cheaply made product, there are thousands of others who are feeling the same thing. In whatever you decide to do, if you provide Quality, your name will become well known and you will prosper. So instead of falling for a get-rich-quick scheme, remember that YOU are your best resource.
