Video games are one of the top industrial matters in our country. Kids, teenagers, and many adults absolutely love them. They have much more varieties than board games and keeps up with modern technology. Board games on the other hand, have less varieties, because companies generally make much more by selling video games, making board games unpopular.
Many people like board games because of the family time that it brings, yet electronics can also be programmed to do the same as board games AND prevent cheating. When there is truly no cheating, it is much more entertaining then if members of the board games suspect each other of cheating.
Now, video games is not just game systems and a game you buy to play along with it. It is considered all electronic devices with games, including phones, computers, iPhones, and many more multitasking systems. This quadruples the amount of video games available, pushing many companies to make extraordinary games. Also, the quality of these games rise sky high compared to any board game available. Can board games put you into a terrorist's mind with AK-47s? No! Can they transform you into a world with fiery magic and unborn technology? No! They are the best for drama, action, adventure, RPG, music, shooting, and much more! Board games are too old-fashioned. Only strategy and puzzle fall under this category as appropriate. With these varieties, I believe that video games would be much more entertaining.
I've read opposing articles on this debate, and they mentioned lots about random things such as how board games are more knowledgeable. That has nothing to do with entertainment! Also, almost every one of them mentioned more family time. First of all, I'm very sure that many people do not have the time to see their families a hundred thousand miles away. Even if they could, many people either dislike their parents, cousins, uncles, aunts, etc., or they just plainly hate them. Facing so many problems, difficulties, and grudges, board games are considered something that is becoming rare in the household. Video games, the other hand has the power to connect with players around the world, and when they wish to be alone, there is always computer players to play with them. This way, you don't have to deal with the mental and emotional problems of the board game. Also, many of these video games can be held with ease outside of the household. Can you do that with board games? Then, some of them said that board games are educational. Note that board games are dull and boring. Video games have the graphics that make the excitement extreme and fun. ( The American Way of learning is to make it fun to learn so that kids enjoy learning). For an example, would you rather play scrabble and make up words for points, or go online and compete against others for points, prizes, and reputation? In other words, board games are out of fashion, and the video game world is now taking over.
There is something I need to make clear about the two games. In technological level, board games are level 2, and video games are level 4(there are other kinds of games between them). Remember that video game's basis was built on board games. This means, that video games is board games upgraded. I hope you understand the technological thinking and opinionated article I have written here. Remember, that video games are on a more pleasurable and educational basis.
