CHRISTMAS WITHOUT HARRY

It was early when the children woke up

With their squeals of joy and delight

They hadn't woken me though

I'd like to have an old fashioned Christmas
And hear the ringing of the silver bells,
And the voices of the children out caroling

Christmas time is here again,

that time of good will and cheer,

it can also be a poignant time,

which can bring on a tear.

 Packages under the tree and stocking hung with care,

Christmas melodies filing the air,

yet .....you will not be here.
