Poetry:  Christmas Without You

It won't be the same this year for me,
Without your presence under the tree,
I don't mind no gifts but I wish you here
To join me in the holiday cheer.

I have to do it without you, you know,
You're gone and things will be a bit slow,
Your beautiful smile and your gentle ways
I will miss a lot because you're away.

I have to go on, though, you'd want me to,
Do as usual all the year through
You wouldn't want me to be sad
Be happy and try not to miss you so bad.

Nevertheless, it won't be the same,
Without you here and I’ll feel some pain,
Yul left an empty spot in my world,
My comfort flag has not yet unfurled.

For you I will try the best I can
To plan my life, be brave as a man,
I'll try my best, but it won't be fine
Because I'm really missing that man of mine.

So Merry Christmas to all this year,
It’s a blessed time, I've nothing to fear.
I'll miss you, though and always will,
I have no sweetheart my days to fill.
 The End
