The Art of Feng Shui - Reflecting Nature's Balance
Have you ever watched the morning break....and the sun as it lifts from the far horizon? Or the storm clouds as they bring in that blessed rain - the clouds release the water and then move on, the sun comes out, the clouds dissipate. Now, turn within yourself and notice all of the things of no importance that we cling to...stuff, emotions, wrongs, memories, old loves. Yes, there are a plethora of things we cling to that seem to hold us in the 'old' space.... think back now to the early morning as the night lets go. Have you listened to the night, just before dawn? The quietness that speaks to us from the depths of the earth...then, as if in slow motion, the birds start, then the traffic , the wind picks up and the soughing begins as the trees start to sway, and then it repeats itself as the chaos of the day drops into the silence of the night. Night isn't really silent, but one has to be conscious in order to hear most things. Each process releasing all that was a part of it, and allowing the next to become. Think for a minute of a day holding on to its beautiful sunset, and cheating itself of tomorrow's when tomorrow's will be even more spectacular. This is balance, nature's balance and this is the balance we are all struggling to create in our own lives, and in our homes. Feng Shui is the path to this balance.
Feng Shui is about balance and the flow of energy and is an integral part of the human process of letting go. It is also about creating the whole. So many times I listen to those who have discovered Feng Shui...they want someone to come help them with one of their corners in their home, the usual ones are the wealth corner, or the relationship corner. They believe that if they make the changes in the area that is effected that the money will flow, or the perfect partner will walk into their lives. This is really only partially right, it is just the beginning. What we are doing is creating an energy field that is conducive to our desires.
